A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.  Isaiah 42: 3

Hello, Friends!

No, I didn’t fall off the planet! No, I haven’t been “Caught Up!”  -yet.  I have been AWOL – Away Without Leave!  Well, I’m not sure it was really without leave.  This has been an extremely eventful year for me.  But, I have come back here, to this blogging spot, to do what I can to lift up the name of Jesus and to encourage as many of you as possible in your walk with  Him!

Oh, how we need one another! I have certainly realized that like never before.  This past year has been one valley after another! Some deep, some wide and some really long and hard.  It has literally been the prayers of the saints (you all) that have born me up through it all.  Prayer!  More important and more necessary than ever before as we travel through this dark age until the daybreak!

Last year my daughter, Jocelyn, returned from a mission trip to Cameroon with malaria. She was misdiagnosed and treatment was delayed. She was in the hospital for weeks, fighting for her life, spending 10 days in a coma.  While she was there, her sister, Jamie, injured her foot which became infected and she ended up in the hospital with a life & limb threatening issue. Two daughters in hospitals in different cities, on dialysis and in extreme situations, AT THE SAME TIME!!!   A call went out for prayers for miracles. Hundreds of people, all over the world, rose up to lift their shields of faith. God heard their cries, and both of my precious girls recovered.  Praise His wonderful name.  God is a mighty deliverer!  We are so, so thankful for His restoration.

While I am still dealing with some health matters of my own, I am trusting Jesus to lead me out of the wilderness leaning upon His arm.  He is able and I am going to trust Him with my future. I am just so thankful for the verse above.  Though I have been a bruised reed and a smoking flax, He is merciful, and His grace is sufficient.

In the meantime, I have opened a Facebook page with the same name is this blog: Until the Daybreak. If you are on FB, I invite you to stop by and share in what is going on there.  But, if you aren’t, I  plan on seeing you right here, as God provides the Living Water that we so desperately need in these times.

I will leave you with these words to ponder: 2 Timothy 2:11-13     It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: 12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

  1. Thank you again, not just for the one post you wrote with me in mind but even this post. Tears are again in my eyes as I treasure Christ Jesus as I have learned Him through you. Others as well but you know what I mean <3

  2. Thank you, Mitch! He’s all we need. More of Jesus; less of me! …and yes! I know exactly what you mean! Love you, my friend.
