About My Journey So Far

Hello!  My name is Shirley Ross Craig! Welcome to my blog place!  This space is still a work in progress, but I am going to dive right in while I am still learning how to do it, so don’t be surprised to see changes from time to time. I will be adding links, music, pictures, and lots more.  It will be a journey!  I hope you will come along!Shirley R. Craig

I think of myself as a traveler on this earthly road and, like Abraham, I am looking for a City with foundations, whose Builder and Maker is God.  I have found that the best…well. the only…way to travel is in the footsteps of Jesus.  More than that…walking with my hand in His!  ..and, yes, every so often, just resting in His strong arms as He carries weary, frightened , or overwhelmed me!

I have been a wife (for 47 years), a mother of three daughters, and a grandmother. I’ve been a student, a Christian school teacher, a worship leader, and a choir director.  And now, I am retired! (At least, I thought I was retired, but maybe that was just “tired.”  🙂  )  I’ve had a few years of leisure, as I have rested and restored. In fact, I was beginning to think that the Lord was finished with me, until recently.  The wind is blowing again! The showers are falling on fields that have lain fallow.  It is time to get back on the road, for there is yet a way to go.

So, here I am.  Inviting whosoever will to travel  along with me on this most exciting leg of our journey.  The part where we are bound to see Jesus…for He has promised that He is coming..and that right soon!  Let’s go out to meet Him!

    • Hi, Jim! Thanks for checking in. I will message you on FB with the details about how easy it is to get started with Dreamhost & WordPress! Super affordable. Of course, Christin Ditchfield held my hand and mentored me along the way. 🙂
